Healthy Living Series

with Sierra of Tru Wellness

Join us for a Healthy Living Series where we’ll dive deep into key wellness topics to help you get on track and stay there.

Healthy lifestyle habits are key for your overall health and wellness.

Prioritizing nutrition, moving your body, having a good sleep routine, building healthy relationships and managing stress are small things you can do that have big impacts.

What to expect from the Healthy Living Series:

Each class will be led by integrative health expert, nurse practitioner and owner at Tru Wellness, Sierra Weight. Classes will be held at Maven Collective, a revolutionary new co-working space dedicated to supporting a healthy work/life balance for women and families in Fargo, ND.

We’ll focus on four key areas of wellness with in-depth education and plenty of time for real life application so you can leave feeling inspired and empowered to make changes in your daily life.

Participants are encouraged to register for the full four class series to receive the most benefit and learn how to incorporate wellness into every aspect of their lives. Single class options are also available.

Four Key Areas of Wellness

Nutrition

Fuel your body

What we put into our body matters! Fueling the body properly ensures that it has exactly what it needs in order to thrive. In this class we’ll explore:

  • Which foods nourish the body

  • Which foods should be avoided

  • Why your body needs specific nutrients

  • How your body actually uses that apple you eat versus the doughnut

We will end our time with a taste of healthy meal options from Modern Table and a plan of action for you to begin making healthy changes to your diet at home.

Movement & Exercise

Move your body

Let’s not call it exercise, let’s call it movement! Exercise can be such an intimidating word. You think of the gym, heavy weights and sweat. That may be where you are. If you’re not, movement might be more your speed.

In this class we’ll learn:

  • What types of exercise or movement might be right for you

  • Why you should move your body for reasons other than weight loss

  • How you can easily incorporate movement into your busy life

Explore new movement with a gentle yoga flow to round out our session and take home a plan for incorporating more movement into your daily routines.

Sleep

Recharge your body

When we fall asleep at the end of the day, it is time for our body to rest and restore so you can wake up ready to crush another day. If you are not prioritizing your sleep, your health will suffer. Learn how getting a good night's sleep can help improve your health. We’ll explore simple changes you can make to promote restful sleep every night.

In this class we’ll discuss:

  • Your sleep patterns

  • The reasons why your mind won’t shut off

  • Why you wake up and cannot return to sleep

  • Why you wake up feeling like you haven’t slept at all

We’ll finish our class with a restorative sound bath and tea samples with Rachel of Ethereal Waters. You will leave with a tool box full of ways to get the best sleep of your life, wake up rested and have energy all day long.
